Install MarkPen for VS Code and start editing markdown immediately.

Install MarkPen

Install the extension from the VS Code Marketplace or run the CLI command:

code --install-extension butterops.markpen

Open a markdown file

Once installed, open any .md file and start typing. The extension keeps formatting minimal and your document focused.

Quick tips

• Use the command palette to launch MarkPen commands.
• Paste images directly into markdown content.
• Tables, code blocks, and anchor links work naturally.
